Q. Why do I Insult Religious People? A. I shouldn't but it's hard not to sometimes.

I saw a question on Yahoo Answers asking why Non-Religious people insult Religious people. This was part of my answer.

The reason I insult religious people and more specifically religion, is that religions have caused so many problems in this world and I really want the world to be a better place. I wrote a novel and a I want to get it turned into movies so that i can use the money I make from it to help the world. I make fun of religious people because they believe in this terrible nonsense that has caused so much needless suffering through the centuries. How many wars have been faught over various gods? How many more will be waged in the future? How many more young men like my best friend Spec. Christopher M. Wilson have to die in wars that began because of religious disputes? I shouldn't insult people but sometimes my patience wears thin.
